Are there long-term contracts?
No. Monthly tiers and add-ons are month-to-month. Cancel any time with 30 days notice. À la carte and one-time setups have no recurring commitment.
What does the booking portal actually look like to my customers?
Customers tap "Book Now" anywhere — your Instagram bio, Google Business Profile, your website — and land at book.yoursalon.com. They see your service menu with prices and durations, pick a stylist, see real-time availability, pick a slot, enter their info, pay any deposit, and get an SMS confirmation. The whole flow takes under 90 seconds. No marketplace branding anywhere.
How does the per-stylist pricing work?
The booking portal is $39/mo base + $9/mo for each additional stylist. So a solo stylist is $39/mo. A 3-chair salon is $39 + (2 × $9) = $57/mo. A 5-chair salon is $39 + (4 × $9) = $75/mo. You only pay for active stylists — we don't count assistants or admin staff.
Can I migrate from Booksy or Fresha?
Yes — this is what we do. We pull your service menu, photos, and existing client list from your marketplace profile and rebuild it on your branded portal. Migration takes 5-7 business days. We also keep your old marketplace profile active as a redirect during the switch so you don't lose any traffic. After the cutover, you can keep or close the old profile — we recommend closing it to fully own your customer relationship.
How does the AI receptionist work?
We train the AI on your specific service menu (with durations), pricing, hours, stylist names, and policies. When someone calls, it answers in your salon's voice, asks what service they want, finds an open slot of the right length on the right stylist's calendar, and books the appointment live during the call. The caller gets an SMS confirmation. You get a notification. If the caller asks for a person, the AI hands off to your phone or to the human answering service.
AI vs. human answering — which should I get?
The AI is faster, cheaper, available 24/7, and books appointments without your involvement. The humans are warmer, better for sensitive consults (med spa, custom color quotes), and better for older clientele who don't trust AI yet. Many salons run BOTH: AI as the default, human as the "press 0 for a person" backup. For most salons starting out, the AI alone is enough.
Can I bundle the AI or human receptionist with a tier?
Yes. The AI receptionist is included free in the Salon Pro tier. Either service can be added to any other tier at the rates listed. We'll discount the setup fee 50% if you bundle either with a Salon or Salon+ tier.
What if I'm in a wellness business — fitness, yoga, therapy?
We can work with you. Our pricing applies to most beauty and wellness businesses. For fitness studios and therapy practices, pricing scales up 25-40% because the LTV math supports it. Email us and we'll send a vertical-specific quote.
How long does setup take?
Regional Listing: 3-5 business days. Stylist: 5-7 business days. Studio: 10-14 days. Salon: 2-3 weeks. Salon+ and Salon Pro: 3-4 weeks. Branded Booking Portal: 5-7 days. Are there hidden fees?
No — here’s every usage-based cost upfront. Setup is one-time; monthly is monthly. Your AI Receptionist and Voice + SMS line run on Retell, billed at cost and separate from our service fees: about $22/mo for the dedicated number and SMS service, plus usage — $0.01 per text and up to $0.35 per minute of talk time. Every plan includes a monthly cap (minutes or texts); you only pay overage if you go past it. AI receptionist beyond your included minutes is $0.50/min; live human answering beyond your included minutes is $1.50/min. Booking-portal texts include 500/mo plus 300 per stylist, then $0.02 each (confirmations and reminders only — not marketing). Any product that texts your clients needs a one-time carrier registration (~$19–$25) plus a small monthly carrier fee, which we set up for you. Deposits, gift cards, and retail run on Stripe (≈2.9% + $0.30 per charge, paid by you as the merchant). The rest of the Connected Portal (Calendar, Gmail, Drive, contacts) runs on your own Google Workspace — from $7/user/mo (Business Starter); most owners use Business Standard at $14/user/mo, billed by Google.
